Fairmount Camp is a special place. We hear it all the time. People say to us, “Yeah I could go to 'that' camp, or host our retreat at 'that' place… but Fairmount Camp is different. There’s just something different about being there. Something different about the grounds.”
There are many testimonies that start with the phrase, “during Church Camp….”
“During church camp, I received Jesus….”
“During church camp, I received my call to ministry…”
“During church camp, God showed me I am worth it…”
This is where churches were planted in the hearts of pastors, men and women were called to be missionaries or pastors. Some received healing…spiritual healing, physical healing…healing in marriages and healing over spiritual warfare.
Here is where foundations are laid.
We have an opportunity today to extend that work through our new campaign: Renovating Buildings, Renovating Hearts. The goal is to raise $40,000 to renovate the Centennial Building -- and we want to complete this fundraising goal in the next few weeks.

The building is currently used for housing during Teen Camp and Kids Camp and a nursery during Family Camp but it is in dire need of repair. On the outside it may look fine, but after many years of children walking in and out of the door and diapers being changed. The musty and old smell is starting to take it's toll. There is currently only a half bath. There is a shower in the building, but it is unusable.
By renovating Centennial we will be able to host events year-round and better serve the families and churches who are part of our community. With a winterized building we will have the ability to host events all year. This project is about connecting within the community God has called us to serve. Families will gather on the new front porch to connect with each other. Guests may sit in quiet reflection with a cup of coffee and their Bible early in the morning and affirm to God the work that was done in their heart the previous night.
